Perceived Stress Scale

Living in a world full of emotional & psychological stressors can take a toll on your health & happiness & lead to symptoms such as GI Tract Issues, Mood Swings, Painful Periods, Anxiety & more.

The tricky thing is, we have so much exposure to stress, that it has become chronic &, along with this phenomena, the ability to recognize exactly how stressed you are diminishes.

To help on your journey of reconnecting with your body & finding compassion for yourself, figuring out your "everyday" stress level is a great first step.

The PPS test was created in the 80s by psychologist Dr. Sheldon Cohen to help with just that.

This questionnaire asks about your feelings & thoughts during the last month. In each case, you will be asked to indicate how often you felt or thought a certain way.

Although some of the questions are similar, there are differences between them and you should treat each one as a separate question.

The best approach is to answer fairly quickly,  ie go off your gut instinct/feeling for each answer rather than trying to count up the number of times you felt a particular way.
