What is a Health Coach?

Other than being a super-fan of this site, I am sure you have heard about Health Coaching and have seen the title pop up everywhere, but you still maybe wondering:

What the heck is a Health Coach?

According to IIN, the largest nutrition school in the country and where I received my credentials, a health coach is “a wellness authority and supportive mentor who motivates individuals to cultivate positive health choices. Health coaches educate and support clients to achieve their health goals through lifestyle and behavior adjustments.”

So, in a nutshell, health coaches like me are nutrition and lifestyle nerds who are not only highly educated, but who’s jam in life is to help you achieve the level of health you’ve been dreaming of. Think of me as the secret sauce to your diet dilemma.

If there are tons of coaches out there, not to mention nutritionist & doctors what makes Balanced By Birdie different?

First off, I don’t prescribe you what to do, give you a pat on the back and send you on your way.

I do this with an integrative and functional approach.

We look at your symptoms, ie what you want to change, and we dig deeper and find out what is causing them. Then we tackle how to release them.

My method isn’t just about getting your symptoms to go away, but creating techniques and shifts so that they don’t come back.
